Kónyáné Balabás Kata

Physiotherapist

I am Kata Konyane Balabas, physiotherapist and mother of two.

I earned my physiotherapy degree in 2009 at the Faculty of Public Health of the University of Debrecen.

In January 2010 I started working at the Pediatric Rehabilitation Center in Debrecen. Our children’s future also depends on how much we do for them in every area of life. This is why improving, maintaining and restoring children’s health is especially important to me.

Because of the physical demands of my work I exercise regularly, and I also received a strong foundation and example for this because I grew up in a sporting family. This is also why I really enjoy preventive spine exercise classes. I worked for five years as a physiotherapist in a fitness center in Debrecen, where I taught several types of spine exercise classes.

I have taken part in launching several early-stage projects, including physiotherapy for children in a practice community, bridging treatment for premature babies from hospital discharge to rehabilitation care, launching prenatal exercise in Debrecen, and movement programs for mothers of premature babies during their hospital stay.

I consider pediatric rehabilitation my vocation. Alongside it, and closely connected to it, obstetrics and gynecology became a matter close to my heart. For ten years this has been important to me not only in practice and as a practicing mother, but also as an educator.

In my work I would like to help, bring joy and achieve the goals we set. I do this with attention, thoroughness and, in my opinion, something essential: a good atmosphere.
