Individual prenatal exercise

Individual prenatal exercise

During pregnancy the body undergoes a great many changes to make room for the developing baby. These changes are not always free of pain or discomfort. Physical load tolerance decreases, balance changes and posture shifts. Hormonal changes also affect breathing and circulation. We can positively influence all of this with a properly structured exercise program.

We recommend individual prenatal classes for expectant mothers who have an already diagnosed musculoskeletal condition (disc herniation, spinal surgery, etc.), an internal medicine condition (high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.), acute pain, or who, based on medical opinion, cannot exercise in a group.

These individual sessions are always tailored to the expectant mother! Participation in the program is possible from the completed 12th week, and the treating doctor must always be consulted about wanting to take part in the exercise program!

Please always bring your medical documents with you!

During the individual sessions the physiotherapist adapts the exercises to the expectant mother's current condition, taking into account the trimester of pregnancy and any complaints. The exercises help ease lower-back pain, improve circulation, prevent leg swelling and prepare the body for childbirth. During the sessions we also teach breathing techniques that will be useful both during and after birth.
