Senior exercise

Senior exercise

Senior exercise is a movement program designed for older adults to help them maintain and improve their physical condition. Its goal is to preserve the freedom of movement needed for everyday activities, improve balance and joint mobility, and prevent injuries and falls. During the exercises we often use various pieces of equipment, such as a fit ball, a small rubber ball, dumbbells or ankle/wrist weights, but we frequently work with body weight alone as well. The exercises range from the simplest movements to somewhat more complex tasks that develop muscle strength, balance and coordination, so they affect not only the body but also brain function.

For older adults, senior exercise brings not only physical benefits but can also strengthen social connections, since it offers the opportunity for group activities and time spent together. Regular practice of senior exercise can help older adults remain active and independent.

Good spirits and a good mood are always guaranteed during the classes.

At FizioTars, senior exercise is led by a qualified physiotherapist instructor who understands the specific needs of older adults and takes any health limitations into account. Everyone can work at their own pace, and the instructor offers modified variations when needed. Regular participation can improve general wellbeing, reduce the risk of falls and help maintain an independent lifestyle in the long term.
