Prenatal exercise

Prenatal exercise

It is very important to us to approach pregnant women with proper professional knowledge and humility when addressing any problems that may arise, laying the foundation for a positive birth experience and the recovery that follows it.

This class type is therefore specifically adapted to the changes that come with pregnancy. We place great emphasis on strengthening the trunk and pelvic muscles, but we also work the arm muscles substantially, with an eye to lifting and carrying the baby's weight later on. We take care to relax tight muscles and connective tissue. We work preventively on the condition of the pelvic floor so that it can recover as quickly as possible after birth. We also have a beneficial effect on the circulatory and respiratory systems, since our classes are dynamic in form without overloading the changing body.

Using many movement patterns in various body positions, we try to help make the period of pregnancy happy and balanced. With varied use of equipment and musical accompaniment we also aim to avoid monotony.

The group classes are held in small numbers (max. 8 people), which also has a positive effect on the women's mental state, since a much more personal atmosphere can be created. We support the baby-mother bond and mental balance during the class with relaxation exercises as well. During our classes we take great care to educate expectant mothers and provide a professional response to the changes in their bodies, allowing them to understand even better the processes taking place within them.

Our classes can be attended from the completed 12th week of pregnancy, following medical consultation! Participation must always be discussed with the treating doctor, and before starting any group prenatal class we recommend a personal consultation with our physiotherapists. The reason for this is that during the personal meeting, our colleague can gather information with proper professional care about the expectant mother's past and current condition as well as her future goals. This helps us accompany the mother-to-be with the right exercises throughout her pregnancy.

Mothers with a high-risk pregnancy, a serious internal medicine or musculoskeletal condition, or those showing signs of infection, fever or any other illness, may not take part in our classes!

If for any reason you cannot take part in our group class, please contact us with confidence and we will find the best possible solution for you, because every woman deserves pregnancy to be a wonderful experience!
